JYMS Holiday Songs Vol. 1 and Vol. 2
We want you to enjoy holiday music at home, so make sure you purchase on of these special holiday books. Ms. Noelle has arranged each song especially for Yamaha students with words and solfege written in the music. Your child will easily be able to sing and play the songs they love and share them with friends and family this holiday season.
There is a CD with fun arrangements for you to listen to and sing along with, and in the back of the book there are keyboard charts to help you see exactly where to put your hands for each piece.
There are two volumes, volume 1 has easier arrangements for beginners and volume 2 has more advanced pieces for our advanced students.
Each book is $10, which includes the CD.
Nutcracker Experience
We rotate through three different holiday music experiences here at Jensen’s Yamaha. This year, it’s The Nutcracker! We are super excited because we know how memorable the experience is having heard former fondly remember their first Nutcracker experience from when they were little. At this event we will tell the story and the studetns will get to participate musically during the event. When we visit the Land of Sweets, we’ll even get to taste all of the sweets while we listen to the music.
During the last week of classes before the holiday break, instead of coming to your regular class, you can come to ANY Nutcracker Experience. Here’s the schedule:
You won’t want to miss this event. I even heard that there is a chance of SNOW!
Glee Club
The Glee Club will be busy the first week of December. Come out and hear what we’ve been working on!
Wednesday, Dec. 4th
Saturday, Dec. 7th
We’ll be on a river barge!
Student Music Skills Evaluations
All of our students currently enrolled in classes should have received an evaluation from their teacher. If not, look for it in your mailbox, we mailed all the evaluations to all students who were absent. This was an opportunity to share with our parents how their child is doing in see all of the different skills areas we are working on in class. We would love to hear seom feedback about the evaluations. Were they helpful? Is there any other information you would like to know? Let me know!!! (email me)
Have a Happy Thanksgiving and Joyous Holiday Break!
